First a note – Sammy is one of those way-too-cute cats who is pretty much starving for attention no matter how much attention he’s already got. You walk through the front door and call his name – 9 times out of 10, he’s going to whine over and over until (preferably) you come to him and pet him, or he finally gets down the stairs and convinces you to pick him up for a cuddle.
I cannot even express how heartwarming it is to know a cat this affectionate.
Once you do finally pick him up, he purrs and purrs – so loudly you couldn’t possibly question whether he was enjoying the snuggle. Each time it’s like he hasn’t been hugged in years – crazy how much he enjoys affection!
I know it sounds mad to say, but he rivals the cuteness of Avery!
I have altogether too many pictures of this cat being held by Thomas.
He’s just so stinkin’ cute, I couldn’t help it!
Legit, I die –
We put Sammy’s food into a clean bowl and put it down for him to eat, then washed his old bowl. But as usual (we’ve fed Sammy a few times before), Sammy wasn’t quite interested in eating.
Getting ready to go, we realized it was a bit too late, and it’d begun pouring rain outside.
So we followed Sammy into the living room, deciding we’d pass our time playing with the cat, and hoped the rain wouldn’t last too long.
It didn’t last too long from what I remember, about 10-15 minutes, or maybe 20 at most, but the time passed quickly with the company of the cat. Thomas and I managed to take a lot of pictures in the time we spent with him, so those I’ve shared in another post.
Once the pouring rain ended, Sammy hopped outside, I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag to make sure it didn’t get wet if the weather turned again, and we were off.
